420 formed in the summer of 1995 to jam and cover some old blues standards and southern classics they dug. In 1998, however, they responded to the crowds begging for more originals and so 420 switched to an all original format. After regional touring success and the release of their second self-titled album (420), 420 decided to concentrate on writing music showcasing their roots, influences and dynamics ... developing its patented southern groove rock sound that can only be described as a healthy dose of Black Sabbath meets the Black Crowes. What has evolved is a stunningly tight rock act with pop sensibility and a professional attitude.
