"...with [Nina's] bigger-than-life stage presence as well as her exceptional singing abilities, she kept the crowd mesmerized until the finale." - National Post

Check out some raves for A Camp's US Debut Colonia, a collection of songs that Rolling Stone calls “…shimmering tunes.”

“...bewitching new record...with shimmering melodies worthy of Randy Newman..." - Los Angeles Times

  • Happy Happy Ending To The Festival Season - A Camp in Malmo

Back on August 18th, A Camp played our last festival of the 2009 summer season, which took place in Malmo , Sweden. It was a lovely evening that we shared with 10-12,000 other folks. If you were or were not there, we wanted to share these pictures with you, and to give our heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming kindness and support we've encountered on our travels over the last six months.

As we rest and regroup now, we will do so with satisfied minds. We love you all and will see you very soon!

  • A Camp at Allsang Pa Skansen

    Hi all,

In between routine rock and roll festivals, A CAMP played this legendary TV programme in Sweden called ALLSANG PA SKANSEN. It's kind of impossible to describe, but what it amounts to a combination of variety show + group sing-a-long, whereupon thousands and thousands of Swedes belt out Swedish standards, led either by the host of the show or the celebrity guest of the day.

This is probably the nicest summer Sweden has seen since the mid '90s, so the weather was fantastic....there was about 12,000 people in attendance there in Stockholm's famous Skansen, which is sort of like a historical amusement park...... and the TV viewership is estimated at around 2 MILLION.....in a country of about 9 million people, that's pretty insane.

All in all it was lovely. We signed a lot of teenager's arms, most of whom no doubt were disappointed we were not the Swedish-Idol winner "Johan", a 16 year old, well, pop idol, who was also on the show. We couldn't help but notice that teenaged arms feel a bit......fake, almost unformed, and that if you didn't look up at the person who owned the arm you were signing , you couldn't identify the kid by gender or any other means.

Trippy and surreal but fun and that describes the whole day right there.
