With over 75 songs featured on hit shows and movies like HBO's “Big Love”, ABC's “Men In Trees”, and MTV's “The Hills”, you'd think you would have already heard of him but who knew Google would make it impossible to search for "AM". AM's new duets project "Side by Side - Duets EP Vol. 1" features other notable friends Buddy, Tina Dico, Susie Suh, Meiko, Julianna Raye, and Rick Garcia and was mixed by Charles Newman (Magnetic Fields). AM's debut album "Troubled Times" was named iTunes Top 20 "Best Indie Albums" and was a personal favorite of Los Angeles tastemaker and KCRW DJ Nic Harcourt. "Soul Variations" has been released to more critical acclaim. Fusing melodic, airy pop and folk-rock "Soul Variations" drew on everything from hurricane Katrina's aftermath to the trials and tribulations of all relationships, whether personal or political. From the spacious, analog nature of the production to the songs themselves "Soul Variations" has been said to feel right at home alongside John Lennon's "Double Fantasy" and Wilco's "Sky Blue Sky". Voted “Best Singer/Songwriter of the Year" at the LA Weekly Music Awards AM recently finished up a 45 city US tour in support of "Soul Variations" and will continue to promote the release in 2008 both in the US and Europe with a showcase at SXSW, select dates on the Hotel Cafe Tour, and UK/Germany dates.
