Oct 15 2008, 02:11 PMTulsa - The road and NACA!!!so we are sitting in our lovely hotel room in Tulsa, OK. The Radisson has been so nice to us and I suggest all of you reading this update PRICELINE your next hotel stay as we paid $46 a night for a beautiful room by the pool, two queen beds.. It was a gawd send after our redeye flight from Portland Monday night. Have to give a shout out to our dear friend Keegan Smith!! His birthday was Monday and we had to leave before the festivities but we love you and wish you much happiness and major success this year!! Momma Price and General Sosa drove us to the airport and we proceeded to try to sweet talk our large amounts of luggage to be checked for free. The first venue we were to play asked us to bring sound so here we were - checking two large speakers and our luggage through Delta. Thanks to our high school friend Janie Stump's dad he hooked us up slightly.. as all of the luggage we checked was over 50 pounds... eek! we shall hope for the same luck on our way home. So we leave around 10pm from Portland and fly the redeye to Altanta. On the plane we met a super sweet family and pretty much chatted with them throughout the flight (what's up Sean!!) We landed in Hot-Lanta early Monday AM (like 6am) 3AM our time! exhausted and confused Jen and I proceed to wander the Altanta airport in search of our gate.. the ticketed gate was wrong, the teleprompter screen wrong and 1 hour later we were no closer to finding the actual gate! most of you know that Jen is NOT a morning person and with about 30 minutes of sleep... watch out HOTLANTA! we finally made it to our flight. Headed to depart at 8:35 to Tulsa. Both Jen and I met really nice people on the plane. Shout out to Candy (yay for going against your party and voting for OBAMA!!) and Frank. We managed to arrive in Tulsa and get our luggage (two carts later) our rental car (thanks to Budget!) which was a JEEP Patriot and then got to our hotel. 6 hours of sleep later we are getting ready for our first show ever in Tulsa!! very exciting. We played at PLAN B last night, cool bar, two floors, nice people, much love to Katy our awesome bartender and her friends for being so kind. Today is a day for relaxation, we have our NACA showcase tomorrow afternoon, so please SEND us some good vibes. We play friday eve at the Collective (in Tulsa) Its all ages and a bar/cafe, music starts at 9pm. We are playing with Three Penny Upright. Friday - October 17th The Collective 3148 E. 11th St. Tulsa, OK 74104 9pm, free and all ages!! Come say hello if you are in the area. We play at White Eagle Tuesday the 21st and at the Axe and Fiddle on Wednesday the 22nd. For the FODfest 2008. FODfest is in memory of Daniel Pearlman, the journalist that was brutally killed. FOD stands for Friends of Daniel. He was a musician and his friends have carried his memory through these festivals. We are proud to be a part of it! come out and say HI.

We have to thank Craig with Music Spectator, little did we know he was going to be doing an article on us this month, but my gawd - he was so kind. :) After you read this you will ALL WANT TO BE BFF's ;) lol.

We are so blessed right now, so many wonderful things happening.
The Bite of Oregon was amazing yesterday, we played the MAIN STAGE and those that came out - THANK YOU!!
We love you and really want to thank Lisa Lepine for booking us!
We have heard through the grapevine it will not be our last show as NW Fresh and be on the look out as the 9 piece band show was epic!
Thanks to Danger "russ" for playing trumpet - you rock!
Mr Rod Nightingale for holding it down as always on the drums - you are awesome!
The sweet and lovely Chris Chard for his amazing abilities on the bass, we love you so!!
Keegan Smith for bringing his music and energy to the show.. you are fantastic.
Mr Justin Dodge for learning the tunes with a smile and playing them ON POINT - you are great!
Marv+Eills you are a wordsmith - we love you and really appreciate your positive energy!
Last but not least we would like to thank Will Scriven for playing the axe all day. He can truly wail on that guitar!!
Jen and I are so happy the way things are going. We played the NW World Reggae Festival on saturday and really have not experienced love like that in a crowd of 2500+ Jah Blesss really does have more meaning then you all know.. We loved playing with the Escort Service (thanks Scotty!!!) with Ras Gabriel, Daniel Lamb, Marko, & Scott Free for the showvcase - our boy LT - Lafa Taylor we TORE the roof off of that stage and Itawe we graced them with your powerful message.
We cant wait to do it again and had the best time ever.. Its really about LOVE with Reggae and that is what Jen and I are all about!!

The first amazing thing happening is the NewSongMusic Finals. Jen and I made it to the West Coast Regional Finals and play at the Mint in LA on the 2nd of September!! Its going to rock!! check out details here: http://www.newsongfestival.com/
