Adam started his own rock band at the age of 12 and performed as lead singer with various incarnations of the band for the next ten years as they played their brand of heavy metal at high school dances, parties and local clubs. Over the years, the band evolved and played New York clubs like the legendary CBGB and China Club. In 1995, the band recorded an album that was released in Japan by Zero Corporation. Never leaving his musical roots and his desire to continue to write music of his own, Adam continued to write and develop his own music. In 1996 at the suggestion of a friend, Adam tried out for the off-Broadway production of RENT. Originating the role of Roger, Adam became a part of what was to become the definitive hit of the decade. In 2000 Broadway came calling again in the form of Elton John and Time Rice's AIDA. Adam was cast in the lead as Radames and critics heralded his performance. Shortly after the opening of AIDA, Adam released his debut solo CD, Model Prisoner, on Sh-K-Boom Records. Produced by the Grammy-winning Joel Moss, critics heralded Model Prisoner as "a modern rock masterpiece." Adam's 2nd CD, Civilian, was released in November 2004. Civilian journeyed through the years of Adam’s personal life in a time when the nation was facing unprecedented tragedy from September 11th and the effects of violence at home and abroad. Adam has also appeared on other Broadway stages and on the big screen as well. He appropriately played the lead singer of a rock band in 2003’s School of Rock and is on the movie’s soundtrack. His reprisal of the role of Roger in the movie version of Rent in 2005 brought a new generation of fans not only to the Broadway show and its music, but to the original cast as well. When Adam returned to the Rent stage in July of 2007, he helped Rent regain the excitement and buzz it hadn't seen in many years. Adam’s latest project, a yet-to-be-titled CD to be released in early 2008 is collaboration with writing partner Larry Edoff. In the last year, the new band, “Me and Larry”, has been writing, touring and recording- all in preparation for the new CD, the 2008 tour and all that will accompany will it. Adam currently lives in LA with his wife and sons.

You were AMAZING in RENT today at NJPAC! I've been a fan of the show for years and to finally see the real Roger front and center was such a treat. Your voice is beautiful!!!!
