  i agree with joey, however pretentious that comment may have been. but the reason people who dont like new wave are against it, usually isn't because of the name or because it's a change. it's because the change completely contradicts their roots and former beliefs (diy/dit, non-commercial, just listen to their early lyrics)

  new wave isn't exactly named after the genre of music. it's about a new beginning a new wave to ride on. yeah it's different than the past material but if you're too stupid to get past the fact that music changes then you probably shouldn't even go out in public or post a message telling them not to play their own music because they decided to do something different. they're still preaching the same thing. they're just changing ho they do it and in retrospect reaching out to more people.

  best band ever!!! best live band ever!!! Foo fighters suck compared to these guys. just listing to all there LPs and 7" now its magic (so r the beers)!!!
