    I would listen to Albert King before B.B. Albert's "Blues Power" live at the Filmore west still blows me away. This guy can make a guitar cry!!!

    albert's V was so badass... had the original gibson open book headstock instead of the pointy ass things they do on flying V's these days. kickass instrument for a kickass old bluesman.

    There was an albino record store owner here in Vancouver that had a thousand little framed and signed pictures of himself with all the blues legends. I had always wondered who Jimi Hendrix's favorite bluesman was so I asked him one time. He instantly pointed to one of the many frames and said "Albert King, that's me and Albert". I bought an Albert King album called "Live At Montreaux"... holy shit you can hear exactly where Jimi got his ideas from!
