Alexis likes to think of herself as a work continuously in progress.
Raised in the open spaces of Missouri farmland and encouraged at an early age to develop her talents, Alexis draws from a diverse musical background to help her write her songs. Raising a small child, running a busy private music studio, and writing and recording keep Alexis going full steam!
She is currently finishing her first solo album, scheduled to be released in 2007. Her music has been described as "folk, acoustic, soul" and reflects her daily ponderings and musings.
Alexis likes to write specifically for those that listen intently and love music above all else. Influences include Sade, Fiona Apple, Sting, Santana, Sara McLachlan, Tori Amos, and more obscure but equally as talented Moke, Jimmy's Chicken Shack, and Esthero.
Her students range from age 3-63 and teaching is a passion that she hopes to continue, regardless of the status of her solo career.
