Well, imagine sitting in an alpine meadow in Austria or Switzerland listening to the idyllic sounds of yodelling, zither and mouth harmonica when in parachute a bunch of freaks with their electronic gear to nice up the dance. Some might say: it's lederhosen at the controls. Alpendub reinvents alpine Volksmusik by irreverently tossing out the ugly bits but taking care not to toss the baby out with the bad water. While we remove the layers of dust that have collected after so many years of neglect, we take the liberty to open the music up to influences from the ausland.
