Description: English composer and pianist with passionate individual piano style living in Budapest. Expert synthesist and computer programmer.
History: Born into a family of jazz musicians, entertainers and inventors in 1963. The piano started teaching me to play at the age of 4, and turned me into a machine for transforming tea into music! :)
Became interested in electronic music after watching Rick Wakeman perform "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" at the Albert Hall in 1974. Bought a BBC Microcomputer, Minimoog and Polymoog in 1980 and over the next couple of years designed hardware and software to control them with the computer using control voltages, and then built a midi sequencer and digital audio sampling system inspired by the Fairlight. This was accepted in lieu of a degree to do a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Information Technology at City University in 1986. Working for Syco Systems in London in 1987 repairing Fairlights, synthesisers and other studio equipment for top professionals in the music industry and fulfilled an ambition at an early age.
I later became a computer consultant and web designer, consultant, programmer and worked in the City of London for a few years. Moved to Budapest in 1999, learnt fluent Hungarian and continued working as consultant from there while playing in bars and clubs regularly.
Performed live solo concerts and TV shows in Budapest and played with various bands.
