I'm a guitar player. I play with Band Camp in Boise, Idaho. We just play around town in bars. We have a heckuva lot of fun. We are really a classic rock band (which is the era I grew up in) but, I'm more into progressive rock. I really like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Vinnie Moore, Steve Lukather, Neil Schon...etc. However, Andy Timmons is probably my favorite...check him out on Steve Vai's label...he can play everytihng from instense metal (sweep arpeggios & the like) to chickin' pickin'... he's from Austin, TX. Also, if you haven't heard Liquid Tension Experiment, you must if you are into prog...
Anyway, I played back in the early 80's with Stranger (three of whom are currently in BandCamp), another Boise band. We toured all over Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. Again we had fun but never really got anywhere. From there I played with a band called Plexus in Denver. There were great musicians in that band: Tom Constant (amazing bass), Dan (amazing drums), Joe January (amazing keys), Cathy (vocals) and me...man I learned a lot from those guys. We toured all over Colorado...again, never got anywhere. Then I quit....for about 15 years...went to college and got a mechanical engineering degree...got a job, started a business...and here I am. just playing for fun in Band Camp. Headed into the studio next week with Steve Fulton (great guy and producer/engineer at AudioLab here in Boise...that should be fun.
Well, that's about it.
