Annie Quick is a long-time New Yorker and former Central Californian living in Harlem; composer, guitar player, sometime harpsichordist and singer, maker of films, objects d’art, animations, illustrations, installations, and Rice Krispie sculptures. Best know for her work with her eponymous band (www.anniequick.com), Quick’s hard working Half Pints (who produced an ill-fated and seldom-aired pilot on TV Land), and her stint with folkie pop band Stickman Jones, as well as much music for the WB, Nickelodeon and MTV Networks. Her film work can be seen all over television and the Web—(particularly at LoMas TV). Quick’s new album “Souvenirs and Shiny Things,” set for release September 2008, is not only a record, but a film and an installation of the same title, all set in and pertaining to New York’s Central Park (which Quick lives two blocks from).
