  • Hi Attila, Well firstly, it's good to have found you on here after having been told about one of your live performances at the Zoro in Leipzig a few years back. I personally was never part of myspace as a social network, but almost always search on there whenever i know the name of a band or musician and would like to get a sense of what they sound like. I've been on Facebook for almost a year, but it's not my first impulse to come on here and search for music. I would only do it if i'm... More...

  • Hello Attila. When are you coming up to Scotland? I haven't seen you perform live since "Cheryl, A Rock Opera" in the Mean Fiddler about 20 million years ago and would like an update- it was hardly yesterday! Loved the Game Boy/Rude Boy track...

Luddism, confusion, technical allergy and Facebook/ilike

    Afternoon all.

I must say I am confused.

Now in any online related matters this isn't difficult. I wouldn't say I'm computer illiterate, but I'm only one stage up - semi literate if that.  If anyone out there can help me puzzle out this conundrum I'd be grateful.

I'm told that Myspace is old hat and Facebook is the new thing. Yet I get far more contacts, plays and feedback there than I do here.  And here there seems to be two different applications for musicians/artists - the ilike one I'm on now, and a 'musician' one I'm on as well. Neither of them have much activity, despite Facebook growing all the time. And it's not just me - all the people I've checked out seem to be far less listened to here than on myspace.  Why is that? And why do Facebook have two different applications for what is basically the same thing?

    Feedback welcome.

    Cheers A
