Aubrey Brandt has been involved in music since the age of 8 years old. Self taught and with much guidance, he has played his unique and ever-changing style of music on many different stages in Canada. Raised in Huntsville, Ontario, Aubrey began his career playing taverns and lounges as a lead guitarist and back up vocalist. By 1988 he started traveling in rock and blues cover acts, performing all through Northern Ontario. From 1998 to 2000, From 2000 to 2001, Aubrey traveled extensively throughout Canada, in a project known as “Big Sister Laura”. The group was a multifaceted cover band that was reknown for performing many different styles of popular music. Upon arriving in Whitehorse, Yukon in 2001, he performed at events such as: Frostbite Music Festival, Alsek Music Festival, and the Dawson City Music Festival. At such festivals he opened for acts like King Cobb Steely and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings. From his early years as a blues man, Aubrey has been carefully and meticulously sculpting his craft. With elements of jazz, blues, bluegrass and post-modern folk, he takes his interpretation to the stage.
