Knoxville natives Bellfield are creating a unique breed of energetic alternative rock music. They have entertained college and bar room crowds in the area and across the southeast for nearly three years, but only now have evolved into the suspiciously-alluring riff-driven power-funk (or something similar) that one can expect to hear at their upcoming appearance at the Bijou Theatre on September 26th. Bellfield recently captured the attention of award-winning producer Jeff Powell, whose credits include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bob Dylan, BB King, The Allman Brothers Band, and Tonic. He will be recording and producing the band's first live album (being taped September 26th and aptly titled "Live at the Bijou"). Few bands have the prowess and tenacity to survive the gauntlet of the music industry, but Bellfield may be one of the few.
