The story of Bitter:Sweet is one reserved for the Fates. When Kiran Shahani posted an ad on Craigslist, he probably didn’t expect to get a reply from Shana Halligan. Their merger would first seem odd—he was a founding member of electro-chill outfit Supreme Beings of Leisure, while her genes were passed on from a member of Blood, Sweat & Tears—and yet this marriage was made to last. Within one year of meeting they wrote, produced and, in April of 2006, released The Mating Game to widespread critical acclaim. Now they are poised to release the next creation of their unique partnership, their second album Drama (Quango), which arrives in May of 2008.
