Blinded By Zeus When putting the band together two years ago, band members Beaux (vocals, guitar),Logan Stone (Lead Guitar), Clark Peterson (electric & acoustic upright bass) and Gerald Pilkey (drums) insist the name, Blinded By Zeus, an obvious adaptation from Greek mythology, comes from a fluke accident with the band manager. "Our manager pulls up at our rehearsal studio on a horse farm in North Florida, came in and said, ‘You guys will not believe what happened to me, so we asked: He said driving up on the road the sun hit me square in the eye and blinded me and I just veered a little and took out a tree, smashing in the hood of my truck," says the band. "We all had a good laugh together, so behold the name ‘Blinded By Zeus’ was born." The first single, "See Through You" off their album, BBZ, was produced by Skidd Mills (Seven Channels, SpaceHog, Robert Cray, ZZ Top) and recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. The single has also been included in the newly released "Locals Only 3," a compilation CD of signed and unsigned up & coming local talent put out by Tallahassee Clear Channel station X101.5. Recently opening for national acts 12 Stones and Trust Company (back when Trust Company was called 41 Down). Keep an eye on the band’s official website, www.BBZRocks.com for more information on that and other pending show dates.
