Brad earns his 11th consecutive #1 single as his song, "Welcome to the Future," this week takes the top spot on the Mediabase chart and also becomes the second #1 hit from his CMA Album of the Year nominee, American Saturday Night.
Now with 15 career #1s to his credit, Brad's streak of 11 in a row - all based on country airplay as charted by BDS or Mediabase - is unmatched by any other solo artist in country chart history, with the exception of George Strait and Sonny James.
Brad is in New York today for an appearance on CBS' Late Show with David Letterman, where he'll perform his next single and album title track, "American Saturday Night."
The reigning ACM and CMA Male Vocalist and a three-time GRAMMY winner, Brad is also the most nominated artist for this year's CMA Awards, which he will co-host again this year with Carrie Underwood. The 43rd Annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 11th (8-11 PM ET), on ABC Television.
Brad is winding down his 2009 segment of his American Saturday Night tour this week beginning with last night's show at Madison Square Garden in New York City. At one point in the show the crowd was chanting U.S.A., U.S.A. - which was brought on by the final tribute that showed on the screen during the performance of "When I Get Where I'm Going," - NYPD and NYFD patches with We Will Always Remember -September 11, 2001.
"To play Madison Square Garden has been on my wish list of accomplishments for a long time and to finally achieve it is unbelievable," Paisley said. "I love New York - there are more country music fans in New York City then most people think."
The tour completes the 2009 run with shows in Baltimore, MD (Oct. 22), State College, PA (Oct. 23) and Uncasville, CT (Oct. 24).
Jacksonville, FL - Thursday, Oct. 15
Brad surprised a lucky fan last night at his American Saturday Night tour stop in Jacksonville, FL with a 2009 Chevy Silverado pickup truck for being the 1,000,000th fan to attend his concert in the last year.
Tim and Amber Brown from Orange Park, FL, with their two children James and Logan, were approached before the show and given front row seats under the guise of an upgrade and then immediately following the show were invited backstage to meet Brad - still not knowing why or what was happening. When they were introduced to Brad he posed for a quick photo and then said, "Let's go for a walk." As they were walking he told them they were the millionth ticket holder and he had planned something special for them. When they approached the truck Brad handed Tim a set of keys and said, "It's yours!" Amber was overcome with emotion and speechless while Tim shook Brad's hand and thanked him over and over. Tim is in the Navy and the couple is expecting their third child. "You just don't know how much of a blessing this truck is to us," said Tim.
The American Saturday Night tour continues on to Tampa (Oct. 16) and West Palm Beach (Oct. 17) playing to capacity crowds in each venue before heading to New York City and Madison Square Garden on Oct. 21.
Brad announced today that he has partnered with Zach Quinto (actor-"Star Trek," "Heroes"), Mark Schwann (producer-"One Tree Hill"), Neal Dodson, Matt Bomer (writers-"White Collar," "Chuck") and Corey Moosa (producer) to create and co-produce a show, tentatively titled "Nashville," a drama that revolves around an aspiring young female singer destined for stardom and a male songwriter whose career isn't as certain. Paisley will be very involved in the show by including some of his hit songs as well as songs from other artists, and also appearing in the show as himself from time to time. The show is scheduled to begin airing next season on the CW network.
"I'm very excited to portray the country music world of my favorite town, Nashville, by showing the exciting life of musicians, songwriters and performers - all very talented people." says Brad. "Look for some of your favorite country music stars to make their acting debuts on the show - either by playing themselves or as a character in the script. Country songs are like great scripts already and it's going to be fun to see how some unfold on the show."
The current issue of People Magazine features the Paisley family on the cover and a five page spread on the inside. First photos of Brad and Kimberly's newest son Jasper along with big brother Huck are included.
The feature gives the scoop on how Kimberly shared the news of her pregnancy with Brad, Huck and Jasper's budding relationship, how Brad and Kim share parenting responsibilities and how the family spends a day at home.
Excerpt from article: "And while Huck can name every member of Brad's band, the curious kid is still puzzled over what everyone else in the world does. ‘The greatest question he's asked is, ‘Mommy, does Jesus play the banjo?'' says Brad."

Brad's new video for his current single, "Welcome to the Future," can be viewed now on bradpaisley.com, youtube.com/bradpaisley and cmt.com as well as CMT today and GAC tomorrow. The video is directed by Jim Shea, who also directed Brad's award winning videos "Waitin' On A Woman," "Start A Band," "Online" and "When I Get Where I'm Going." "Welcome to the Future" is from Brad's's new album, American Saturday Night, available now.
The video was filmed in New York City; Washington, DC; Los Angeles; Tokyo and Kumamoto Japan - capturing the message of the song and making it come to life on screen. The hope for our society today is given in glimpses of children from all walks of life and various nationalities stating their dreams for the future and the visuals present the reality that they can achieve their dreams.
Brad says on his website, "I am especially happy about the way that it presents the song in ways not possible on just the recording. This is the job of a video, after all I think. I hope you like it, love it, like I do."
Brad promises to recount stories and behind the scenes info on his website - check often for Future updates.
Brad continues his 46 city American Saturday Night tour with three consecutive sell-outs of over 22,000 tickets each - Bristow, VA, Chicago, IL and Indianapolis, IN. The Chicago sell-out this week-end was over 24,000 and in direct competition with the rock festival, "Lollapalooza."
"His humble demeanor and dead-on wit were evident - in his lyrics and banter - during the sold-out show on Friday at the Midwest Bank Amphitheater...he gave the crowd engaging and entertaining country music that felt like old-school traditionalism with new-found relevance." -Alison Bonaguro, Chicago Tribune
