  • Can you believe I'm back on a bike!?

I just got back yesterday from a great retreat to charleston, where I was writing, hanging with friends, and becoming addicted to riding a motorcycle. (yep, thanks to the vespa tour, I can't seem to stay off two wheels these days) Lovin it.  And I think I'll be chillin in brooklyn for another week before setting up camp in LA for the record. I just wanted to touch base and see how everyone was and see whats new! I keep thinking about you all while I'm writing this new record so thank you for all of your positive thoughts and messages! I really enjoy hearing from you.  More to come!

    Peace and Love,

    B

  • Hi Mom

Hope everyone had a Happy Mom's day and did something nice for their Mother... if you didn't do it tomorrow, it's never too late to do something nice for your mom. (Hi Mom)

I can't believe this tour is almost over, I don't want it to end!

I have been having an amazing time, meeting incredible new friends, becoming a little more green and learning about how all of you are green along the way too. Today I got a msg from Jackie W. in NYC, she took this pic on the subway... NYC (where I make my home base) is doing all sorts of things to become green including having a subway system that creates renewable energy every time the subway breaks, encourages people to use mass transit and has programs like "Million Trees NYC" where they aim to plant a million trees over the next decade. Thanks for sharing Jackie.

I'm gonna get back on my twitter tomorrow, I wanted to stop by here to reflect for more than 50 words haha, if you're not following me on twitter yet, you can find me at twitter.com/bjamesmusic  -tell me what you guys wanna know about?

I wanna hear what you think of our videos too?

This crazy journey is almost over, don't worry we're already talkin about the next crazy idea.....

  • I wish I was that cool at age 14!

As mentioned in my twitter, (bjamesmusic) I have to say that this might have been my favorite cinco de mayo to date.. we had such a great show in ventura and before hand we were at the beach (which was breathtaking) with my new friend, 14 year old Alec Loorz who started the organization called Kids Vs. Global Warming --- The things that he has accomplished at his age would literally astonish you...  We're gonna blog about him tomorrow so check out myspace.com/thevespaexperiment if you want to get to know him better and support his cause.

It was an honor to meet you Alec, You are awesome!

I would also like to thank you fans that have been following us on this tour, Im seeing lots of familiar faces at more than one show along the way, like Lindsey @ Carlsbad/Roxy and Jen and crew from St. Rocke and Ventura (thats a big trip) and to everyone else who are doing the same I'm so honored that you have jumped on board with us... thank you, thank you and thank you again.

Funny story, I had to have something UPS'd to my manager this week and UPS decided to deliver to a random guy with the same name, turns out the guy they delivered to owned a vintage vespa and they ended up comin out to the show with other Vespa owners! Funny how the world works huh?

Keep following on my twitter under "bjamesmusic" for more of my little details along the way

    Happy Thursday.

  • Kermit was wrong!

    It's actually easy being "Green"

I've been getting great letters, pics and videos from fans about their ideas on how I can go Green on the Vespa tour and I want to start sharing them with you... I got an email from Jennifer Gale in San Diego showing me a new idea...

the GAP Sells 100% Cotton Bags for only $2, her and her roomates carry all of their groceries in them, and she said they are very sturdy and hold more groceries than the plastic bags. They've been using them for a month now and they hold up really well. I'm told that some of the reusable bags that some companies make are actually worse than plastic bags or paper, BUT these seem to check out since they are 100% cotton and as the bag says 0% plastic and obviously 0% of the alternative plastic materials which can be harmful.

So thanks for the tip Jennifer Gale... I've included the pic she sent me so you can all see!

    visit myspace.com/thevespaexperiment

send me your pics, ideas and videos on there so I can post them here and on Facebook. I will be posting videos of the Vespa Experiment Documentary and my personal pics and behind the scenes stuff here too.

Can't wait to see everyone in California!

    :)

  • The Vespa Experiment!

So... Many of you have heard a rumor that Jason Reeves and I got the crazy idea to tour California on Vespas.... ITS TRUE and it's happening!

  • 2009

2008 was a whirlwind and I'm still in disbelief that its over since it went so fast but I think its going to be an amazing year.

Its hard to think 2009 could top 2008 but with London around the corner and the Mayercraft and all of the new music I've been in the studio recording, it's hard not think this year will top the last.  I'm really just anxious to get the new music to you to hear what you think?

I want to thank each and everyone of you again for being a part of this experience with me, I'm looking forward to catching up with you through here, facebook, myspace, and our team page before I go off to London, I owe lots of you letters and thank you's so please be patient with me, I'm workin on em one by one!!

As always, love to hear all of your great ideas on where to play, fun places to visit, and more, you've all been a huge inspiration to me. Here's to a great 2009 together!!!

    Peace and Love,

    B

  • Another year's over and a New one's just begun

    December 22, 2oo8.

And so it was. As quickly as it started, 2008 has rolled to an end.  And It was a roller coaster ride I will never forget.  35,000 miles traveled, 126 shows played, 40 radio stations visited, 12 morning shows performed, 5 tv placements had, plus cheese steaks in philly, BBQ in Texas, hiking in Oregon, beach baseball in South Carolina, and there was that one night in chicago when I 'threw' my keyboard in the air at the end of my show..  Now that was fun :-)
What a great year of hard work though, and of teamwork, and of achievement for me.  Though I'm excited to rest my mind and body for a couple weeks..  deep down, I feel stronger than ever.
And I'm waiting for 2009 with baited breath...  It begins with a trip to London to play some shows and do some writing..  and then some touring in feb and mar.. including the mayercraft (mexico?!  Really?).  Aaaand as promised, the recording of a second album will most certainly be taking place  :-)
So thank you all so much for supporting me so vigorously and loyally at my shows and online.

I know every artist says it, but I truley believe that I have the most amazing, loyal and dedicated fans. I would not be where I am without you.
I wish everyone a holiday season filled with apple pie and random
    acts of kindness.

Aloha from nyc.  See u in the new year.
    Peace and Love...
    +brendan
