Caffeine Sunday hails from Edmonton, Canada and was formed in 1997 by songwriting due Christopher Nash and Ryan Ezinga. Influences include such artists as Depeche Mode, New Order, Erasure, the Cure and Pet Shop Boys, among others. Their music is cleverly crafted synthpop, inspired by the shadows and shiny reflections of everyday human relationships. Songs explode with a spectacular blend of swirling keyboards, catchy melodies, driving guitars and stomping dance beats. Full of volatile, raw emotion and catchy pop hooks, it's "melancholic feel good music" that confronts the highs and lows of life and love head on. The band released its debut CD Detox in February 1998, and their follow-up, Karmaland, in April 2001. 2009 sees the long awaited release of their third album, I Wish I Could Film Tonight in Black and White. Brilliant nostalgia in a pool of glittering dreams... pop goes the love.
