    Cheb Hasni (الشاب حسني en arabe), de son vrai nom Hasni Chakroun, surnommé également le Rossignol du Raï est un chanteur algérien de Raï. Né à Oran le 1er février 1968, il meurt assassiné à l'âge de 26 ans à peine, le 29 septembre 1994 à 11h55, à l'angle de la rue où il vivait. Avec ses parents, il habitait le quartier "Gambetta" d'Oran, mais sa famille est originaire de la Willaya de Mascara (Algérie).

    Cheb Hasni is the greatest sentimental Rai Singer for years, even God took him to the other life, he's still in our hearts for life. He's not here with us in life, but his voice is still alive...
