In this day and age of the Monkey see Monkey do approach to writing songs, Chocolate O’Brian seizes the opportunity to cast an original light onto contemporary music. Confecting a sound that is one part rock and two parts pop, Stephen Bradley and Dave Tweedie have come up with a sound that is packed with memorable lyrics, powerful hooks, and radio friendly songs. After mastering their respective instruments, Stephen and Dave decided to ditch their successful endeavors as ace session musicians, and form the group Chocolate O’Brian. Chocolate O’Brian’s Music conveniently fits into the Modern Rock or Triple A format. Their new self titled debut CD, Chocolate O’Brian, showcases their craft in the studio as musicians, producers, and songwriters; blending songs described as “reverence meets romance. Music that sounds familiar in an unfamiliar way” Chocolate O’Brian has a number of production credits including a dance remix for No Doubt’s “It’s My Life,” the soundtrack for the Rodger Corman Film “Velocity” (Feat. Jack Nicholson), and soundtrack work for the T.V. series “Black Scorpion.” Dave and Steve have also preformed and toured with: No Doubt, Greenday,, Les Claypool, members of The Specials, The English Beat, .38 Speical, Eric Martin, and a host of other accomplished musicians.
