Have you met Destinee, Paris and Sara? They are the pop-rock teen sensation the Clique Girlz.
Their debut album is richly filled with three-part leads and harmonies delivered with a freshness and authority that contradicts their ages.
Working with some of the top-name producers/songwriters in the business, Clique Girlz
have stunned industry observers with a professionalism that still doesn’t get in the way of fun.
Songs like “Then I Woke Up,” written by John Shanks, Kara DioGuardi and Samantha Moore, introduces the trio’s fun outlook with nods to “rock, hip-hop, bling and Dr. Phil.” The track was produced by Robert Schwartzman (Rooney) and John Field (Jones Brothers, Demi Lovato, Pink and Switchfoot). Their latest song which will be released this year, Brag, Brag, Brag was written and produced by Paris and award winning producer, Rodney Jerkins.
One listen and you realize this is no manufactured, teenybopper, bubble-gum group, but a group whose music can appeal to all ages. Even before going into the studio to record their debut, Clique Girlz had been making a name for themselves, singing their incredible version of the “Star Spangled Banner” at a variety of sporting events, including the New York Jets NFL game at the Meadowlands before 70,000 fans. Last year they traveled to Tokyo, Japan where they performed the National Anthem at the opening game of Major League Baseball at the Tokyo Dome for 50,000 fans between the Boston Red Sox and the Oakland A’s.
They’ve entertained at NASCAR, NBA, MLB, and US Open tennis events and have opened for such groups as Jonas Brothers, John Legend, Lady GaGa, Backstreet Boys, The Click Five, Billy Ray Cyrus, Kirk Franklin, Demi Lovato, and Drake Bell . Clique Girlz also rocked audiences nation-wide on the Cheetah Girls’ “One World Tour” in 2008.
Destinee (14), Paris (13) and Sara (14) have teamed up with The Topps Company, makers of Bazooka, Ring Pop and Baby Bottle Pop, for fun promotions that include: four Baby Bottle Pop and Ring Pop concerts, Clique Girlz webisodes, ringtones, games, exclusive previews and more. The trio will have their photo on Topps packaging; appear in television ads on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Toon Disney. A print campaign is set for teen scene must-reads like J-14, M and Twist Magazine who voted Clique Girlz “Best New Girl Group” summer 2008.
