Combine the Victorious is Mark Henning (record producer/musician) and Isabelle Dunlop (fashion designer turned singer). Indie Dream Pop is probably the closest way to describe their music.
The idea to write music together was born in 2005, after Mark had been working for months in the UK. On his return Isabelle suggested they "form a band and tour the world to visit their friends." The idea seemed like a fun one, so they did. In 2007 they released their debut album "The World Over" and have been fortunate enough to license eight songs off that album, including the song "Blue Kitchen" being selected to be the theme song for a television series called "About a Girl." In 2008 they helped to form the Vancouver Canada based artist collective/record label Boutique Empire and released their "Disagreements" EP.
Though initially more of an indie rock act, Combine the Victorious has taken a shift towards electronics, and is currently performing material off their first and second releases as a duo. They are also writing material for their third album, which is hoped to be completed for a winter 2010 release.

New Year's Eve gig
We've been added to the bill of "KickOut the Jams": a new year's eve show featuring Combine the Victorious, Rat Silo, NOrthern LEadership, and Blind God at the Anza Club, here in Vancouver. $10 in advance, $20 at the door.
Purchased the album from iTunes after hearing Blue Kitchen, The Hours and Dafty. Some really satisfying licks and tasty grooves. New music has turned me off for so long...it's a relief to find something new that turns me on.
