Cottage Industry began in the basement of Lindon McCarty's home in Hattiesburg Mississippi. The sound of "Smells like teen Spirit" still haunts my dreams. Following this stage of annoying grunge, we leared of jazz. Jazz would then move us to unknown territory. We then moved from the basement----to the Cottage.
In High school we would met our bass player John Patterson. Here we wrote Polypaper. The song was named after the polyrhytmic, yet simple cadence. So on and so on.....after numerouse recordings and demos.....we wrote our first full album "Cottage Industry." The CD was recorded in December of 2004 by Joey Munn of Castle Recordings.
Just recently we lost our original 2nd guitar player, Scott Varnado. He is now persuing a degree in film. We also lost the Cottage due to hardcore partying and loud ass music. Recently, we added Kirk Gore as our 2nd guitar player. Kirk is a badass, and we look forward to writting with him. We are now preparing to record at Full Sail in Orlando in January, 2006. Cottage is developing our sound steadilly. The music presents itself clearly. So stay tuned and keep exploring music!!!
