The two-member, piano-based pop group known as D-Union was formed on the grounds of Duquesne University in November of 2001. The founders, Matt DiMarino and Thomas Popp shortly discovered that with the combination of vocal talent produced by Popp and the songwriting/instrumental abilities of DiMarino, they truly had something special and original backed by an immortal passion for the music they create. D-Union believes that with the blending of rock music with a pop-style voice, an appreciative audience will easily be found. Also, they have a number of guitar-based songs and continue to add to an ever-increasing repertoire of original songs. D-Union would most attribute its music to a touch of the Goo Goo Dolls’ emotionally-driven, unforgettable acoustic/electric melodies with a hint of BBMak’s smooth, celestial vocals. Its first full-length demo has been written, produced, and recorded solely by D-Union, and has been professionally mixed and mastered. One of the main inspirations for the fuel that adds to the flame of D-Union is the ever-present support they receive from family, friends, and an increasingly large fan-base.
