MOre on the way!
We got a new drummer! His name is Carlo and he rocks! Just after 3 rehearsals, we played a Halloween party show at The Ranch Studio's in East Jewitt, NY at a private party. It was sick. Big ups to the whole "Ranch" crew...it was a blast and the music rocked. The day after on Halloween, we continued to break Carlo in at the Tannersville Youth Center where we got to play for some great kids. We had a blast(even though we were still feeling the late night before...lol)...Thanks for everyone who came to check us out on such short notice. We hope to come back and play for all of you again soon! Our cover of the Cars tune "just what I needed" was a big success.....we never thought it would go over so well......Anyways.....DR is currently trying to set up a boatload of shows for the up and coming new year. If you are a booking agent and want us to perform at your venue, reach out to us at info@daisyricochet.com. As far as the "official" website goes...bassplayer Brett is in the process of updating it with new pics of us and our latest pot and pan smasher ,Carlo. Uhuh....almost forgot....we've begun working on some new material and we have to say....We're making nice. ........

OK....some formalities........
Forward: Daisy Ricochet was originally based on the ideas of Neil Cabana. A singer/ songwriter/producer from NYC who became uninterested in pursuing the typical solo career and resurrected the "will to rock" with a real band. With influences across the map including The Pixies to Swervedriver to Brian Eno, he began bringing forth his ideas to respected friend and musical colleage Matt Prine (DR's other guitar player), with just minor outlines, Matt assisted Neil in his vision of the album "Need" in the summer of 2003. Throughout the completion of the record in 2004, they played with a number of different temporary members to finally find their signature rhythm section consisting of Brett Sharbaugh(bass) from Baltimore, MD, and Carlo David (drums) of NYC. Up to date they have been praised with some pretty great reviews despite the curse of the critics. Comparing DR to bands such as The Foo Fighters, Elliot Smith, and Radiohead..."they" have just grazed the surface of Daisy Ricochet's signature sound. I describe them as if an early Brian Eno had a cloned baby with the mix of Alice N' Chains and the Beach Boys and then sent the kid to an indi-do it yourself school of rock. But I hear more than that in the songs and the way they are approched and executed. My suggestion would be take what the critics say (including me) with a grain of salt, and simply listen to "Need" and let it absorb into your life. You will find yourself putting songs on repeat and relating to the lyrics.
