So wow! What a manic weekend that was. I had three gigs, two were last minute; On Saturday I had two, both in Middlesex and on Sunday I performed in Reading at a charity gig alongside a couple of my 'diva' mates including the brill Candy, Saskia Pearl, Eva La Diva! It was awesome, I hadn't seen Eva for many years so it was good to catch up with her. Needless to say though, all the catching up took its toll, I was exhausted by the time got home, something like 12.30am, it took me a few hours to wind down as I was still pumped up with the buzz of the performance. I think that I still might be and its Mid Monday avvo now! Look at me go hehe!
So last week I was rushing around, I did a bit of recording with Kev and did an awesome, awesome, RnB track for TV that we've written together, that was fun as I got into RnB diva mode, I became one of my alter egos and was able to use the vocal pipes just as they were intended to be used, I took it back to church y'all! That was much fun, but very exhausting! I also had to get the tracks together for the soundtrack for the short film that I participated in so that was cool, I was given free reign from the film company to submit any track I liked, which made a nice change, I ended up submitting some older tracks from my rock band days alongside some of my new and upcoming tracks and they all went down a treat, we'll see which make the final edit, I'll keep you posted.

Hey hey!
How's it going? I'm still unwell unfortunately and at home with influenza. Its at the constant sneeze, shiver stage but I've gotten to the point that if I don't get better in a couple of days, that's it for me. I'll get ultra concerned as two weeks isn't really a normal amount of time to be ill with the flu is it really?Stir crazy isn't the word!
Anyway, that's me, still sitting here watching Sky+ and making my way through all the shows that I receorded but NEVER had time to watch, I have been inspired and have gotten creative ideas.Been trying to get back into practising the piano like I should've been and working on new projects in my mind...

I've been working on some new projects and discussing some new collabs with some production companies. A few weeks back I did some TV music with Gareth from Standalone Productions and we co-wrote a few tracks together. That was exciting as one of the tracks had me sent off on a 'memory lane' vibe and, took me right back to childhood! It prompted my poem 'This Groove' which I blogged on my Myspace.
Thanks to all those who sent me concerned messages a couple of mates called to check in on me as they thought it was 'out of character' and a bit 'dark' for me! I'm not sure what gave them that idea as I was just writing what came to my mind in freestyle form, I gave no thought to it at the time, I just felt the need to write.
Well, it is nice to know that I'm cared for and my blogs are read, sorry to have scared the beejees' out of anyone ...
Hopefully I'll be well enough to sing at the end of this week for my next live show. For all you Soul, Jazz/Funk lovers I'll be fronting the Soul Purpose Allstars bands' next gig in Woking next Friday. The venue is called Bed and it is very nice!
