Well, I'm just a regular guy and as I'm a solo artist, there's really no band to speak of (although I do play in several.)I play lots of solo gigs and naturally started to write songs with just my acoustic. When I got hold of recording equipment, I wanted to do more than just guitar/voice stuff. So I overdubbed and tried to imagine what it would sound like if my rock band played my stuff (the band still hasn't learned my songs yet!!) I found that my original stuff stands on it's own with just guitar and voice in front of a crowd, but really comes to life with a drums, bass & textural-type guitar. I'm still trying to figure my BR-1180 out and am not totally happy with my mixes and mastering jobs, yet. But the recordings are workable. :-) I just try to write what I hear in my inner ear, and always think "would I listen to this if someone else wrote it?" Needless to say, with that kind of criteria, my trash can is always full of unfinished song fragments!!! I'm just a working musician who'd like to get people to check out my stuff.
