Dave Turner’s piano rock has flavors of pop, Americana, country, jazz and blues, and sometimes a sprinkling of gospel. He delivers strong melodies and soul-searching lyrics with a powerful voice. Home is Asheville, N.C.
In fall 2007, he was one of eight finalists selected from across the United States in the North Carolina Songwriters Co-op 10th Annual Song Contest.
His latest CD (2007) is Could Have Talked All Night, with 12 songs recorded live in-studio on May 23, 2007 at Collapseable Recording Studio in Asheville, NC. The record features Dave on piano and vocal, Stephanie Morgan on vocal, Michael Libramento on bass and Joe Buzzelli on drums.
He released his first full-length CD, Stories That Are True, in 2004. This album is a piano-vocal solo release featuring 14 songs. It was recorded in November 2003 by Joseph Nilo of Nilo Creative in Asheville, NC.
