The ‘Space Oddity' EP consists of four tracks. When the EP is purchased the original eight stems/multi-tracks are also received for free, enabling fans to remix the song through their own software or through iKlax software.
About 'Space Oddity':
Originally released on 11th July 1969 to coincide with the Apollo 11 moon landings, ‘Space Oddity' was a cultural landmark for David Bowie as an artist - it was featured by the BBC in its television coverage of the lunar landing, and the song later won an Ivor Novello award. The song's mysterious character, Major Tom, has become a recurrent theme throughout Bowie's work and career, being revisited in the song ‘Ashes To Ashes'.For all the information on the Space Oddity EP and application visit here.

Jul 06, 07:41 AMDavid Bowie VH1 Storytellers - Out Today!
VH1 Storytellers began in 1996 with intimate TV performances by Ray Davies and Elvis Costello. Over the next few years many singer/songwriters appeared on the show, performing in front of a live audience while telling stories of their music and memories. Many of the most memorable episodes featured British rock acts, and David Bowie appeared on the show 23rd August 1999.
Bill Flanagan, Executive Producer of the show explains, "We were used to dealing with legendary musicians. Still, landing David Bowie was more than a big booking. There's no way to say this without being corny: it was an honor. Bowie has a unique place in rock & roll. He is not only one of the most influential musicians of the era, he does nothing unless he is fully committed."Buy David Bowie VH1 Storyteller TODAY from:

David Bowie lends his support to the latest War Child release, 'Heroes'.
Being touted as the 'ultimate covers album', Bowie joined other music legends in selecting a track from his back catalogue and nominating an act from the next generation to create a modern re-working of the song. Bowie fittingly selected his incredible 'Heroes' and chose New York rockers TV On The Radio to re-work the song for the War Child album.
Other artists lending their songs and support to the album include Sir Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson and the likes of Rufus Wainwright, Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks and Duffy were chosen to re-work their heroes' classic songs.
