David Steinhart is a veteran L.A. singer / songwriter who creates richly textured sing-along gems, combining wistful melodies with cheeky irreverence and bite. The ability to be cynical and charming at the same time, has become his trademark of sorts and is perhaps one of the reasons his career and artistry have endured for nearly two decades. Steinhart will be releasing his 3rd solo album, "Clean" (Stonegarden Records) in 2001. This 12-song studio recording is an eclectic mix of jangle pop and jazz-inflected acoustic music. Produced by Steinhart, he also plays most of the instruments, and gets a hand from some friends who contribute stand-up bass, horns, and strings.
