What can I say? I guess I?m a control freak..a one man band who does everything. In this day and age where you can have a whole recording studio in your laptop, my music reflects technology and the future. The synth and sequencer are my instruments, and hard driving beats that get me moving at clubs and raves are my influence. That passion steered me into electronic music. Being solo is kind of a double edge sword?on the one hand I get to control everything: vocals, keys, synths, bass, drum machines, arrangement, sequencing, total production. On the other hand, if the music sucks, I can?t blame it on the bass player or drummer. Total responsibility. I started out in early, banging on the piano, learning guitar, all self taught. I played in a couple of garage bands, performing at local venues, stayed underground, never had a permanent band. On the side I began doing some production work with a local band, and Digital Banzai emerged. The timing was perfect, the technology was there, I jumped right in. That was about 3 years ago. Since then?. Digital Banzai tracks have been popular downloads : over 350,000 at one site alone. The media seems to be noticing as well. A track was featured on the 1999 CD "Feed Your Head-150 of the BEST MP3's on the Web" sponsored by Riffage.com. Digital Banzai is also on the CD in the do-it-yourself-mp3 book titled "MP3-I Didn't Know You Could Do That" which is on bookshelves everywhere. Yet another track has been heard on a cable TV show called IZ.com back in 1999. Another track has been used as backround music for an outdoor film. The track "The Ghost in You" has a video completed which was screened in the recent North by NorthWest film festival. Other tracks have ended up in short films and stock tracks in mp3 players. And here I am having the track "Warp Factor 10" in THE FINAL COUNTDOWN at garageband.com?which ended up having the honor of "stupidest song-techno" LOL. It?s all good? The future awaits?
