Dirty Boyz

The band started out as Dirt Nap Underground in October of 1998 when Jason Chesser (drums) brought together members of previous bands together looking to form a solid group and hopefully cut a demo. They began writing material that fall and by June of 99 had seven original songs written. They then went into Highland House in Jackson, TN to record the demo with Wes Henley. After recording the seven song demo they would book shows and distribute tapes and CDs of their recordings. Before long they had a local following and were featured an area newspaper (the Jackson Sun). Then they got a huge break when they took over as the house band for Full Devil Jacket at PB's Southern Castle in Jackson. Since then they have played at the historic New Daisy Theatre in Memphis, the Toy tiger in Louisville, and various other clubs in Tennessee. In July of 2000 the recorded a full length cd of the previous demo material and new songs that were written over the years. Currently they are concentrating on building a fan base in Nashville and in West Tennessee and getting their music heard by whatever means neccessary. Be it local clubs, traveling to play out of state, bugging radio stations, giving away the cd to friends and fans, putting their music on every available website, or just bugging the shit out of whoever. They know what they want and they are destined to get it! Now that members have left the band and new ones joined the band has a whole new sound that kicks.
