Dirty Money are a four-piece, grooooove-designing band who live to play live and not one thing else. Drawing strength from the old greats like Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder and Miles Davis while nodding their many-feathered caps to current urban superheroes like DJ Shadow and Mos Def -- Dirty Money are hotter than a runway on a summer's day, thrilling like blacked out stunt pilots, unpredictable but always on target. With Sir Tommy Charles on that molten trumpet, MJ Falloon on red guitar and mad attic vocals, Alan Sugar on bass smoothings and Ollie "The Poet" Blackman banging drums, Dirty Money fuse the best of the best strands of soul, jazz, dub and funk into a simple, straightforward good time. Easy as that. They have supported -- literally held up with their bare hands -- the James Taylor Quartet, DJ Snowboy, the Dandy Warhols and Boy George, and are now emerging from 6 months hard work in a central London gym preparing their brand new second, self-financed EP.
