"You can't pick a favorite Doc Watson song - far too many possible candidates out there; so I just had to dive on in, and this is a great one, from one of my favorite of his varied discs. I lived for a number of years in Watauga County, NC, and will always remember encountering the great Mr. Watson in a record shop - he was buying classical CDs, along with some Bill Withers discs, which led to a story about meeting Withers after a show (they both hailed from different parts of Appalachia), and I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that room - a real meeting of two of the smarter American musical figures out there, and testament to the wide-ranging intellect and instinct behind Doc Watson's vast catalog. And to anyone unfamiliar with real bluegrass (?!?), his mix of grace, modest charm and undeniable virtuosity will win you over." "
