    A masterful album. You can just FEEL the underlying tension between Mingus and Roach. At the time this album was recorded, I believe the two had fallen out over the money made or not made from the Live from Massey Hall album (done with Diz and Bird back in the early 50s) For my money, this is Roach at his creative peak Mingus just sounds like the baddass cat that he was, and Ellington really does come across as the old master that he was

    woo money jungle, ill upload this, its a must have!!, this is a trio!!! only the Duke, Dingus, and the greatest drummer of all time MAX-ROACH..i can it the dream team, (the all stars being a quartet invoolving, Mingus, Duke, Max, The Bird (substituting bud powell for Duke)
