Combining raw beats and a natural skill for word play; "This industry has got so cold we could ice skate" raps Tryumf, his words encased in the impeccable, glossy production he has honed since working as an engineer/producer for Jetstar Records since 2000.
Having worked behind the scenes with artists such as Big Brovaz and AC Burrell, Tryumf has never been able to suppress the performer in him and in 1999, when he became a born again Christian, he found an outlet to promote his faith.
His career may be sitting patiently just below the mainstream, but competent performances such as his appearance at 2004's Urban Music Festival at Earls Court proved his stadium potential and hinted that bigger things are to come from this talented artist.
It is a brave move, on several fronts, to take a musical form so akin to pimps and gangs and use it to spread Faith and the artist succeeds in breaking cliche's without alienating the conventions that make rap such a popular medium.
"I don't pack a matic, but I pack a Matthew, Mark, Luke and John" cries Tryumf on stand out track: "Ghetto Scripture" and it has to be said that going to church suddenly doesn't seem so dull.
