  I also saw Dwight @ Red Robinson, June 21st. I never even noticed how horrible the band was, but I did notice what an ass Dwight is with his fans. No photos. No communication with the audience what so ever. No acknowledgement that we were even sitting there in the same room with him. No one had a clue what they were playing, or singing. I could have spent my money elsewhere. I have loved dwight for many many years and was dying to see him. I was greatly dissappointed and heart broken. Never a... More...   The show at the greek last night was great. Some LA city council guy came out and anounced july 27 as dwight yoakam day for everything he has done in LA there were 7 or 8 points why but i dont remember them also vince vaughn came out and gave him a gold record from his previous record lable reprise which was cool, all in all he played about 2 and a half hours, dwight played all his hits some bck stuff and a few we havent heard in years o and one ive never heard him do Man of constent sorrow f...   OMG!!!!!! This was the WORST concert I've EVER been to in my life! 3rd time I've seen Dwight, and was SOOOOO much looking forward to it, front row seat at the Red Robinson Theater in Vancouver, June 21st. The drummer was COMPLETELY out to lunch, he didn't know any of the songs, and was being cued by the other players all night how to play the songs. The guitar player replacing Pete was some weenie fro California with a bad mohawk, and an undeserved ego that could have filled 2 halls that size... More... OMG!!!!!! This was the WORST concert I've EVER been to in my life! 3rd time I've seen Dwight, and was SOOOOO much looking forward to it, front row seat at the Red Robinson Theater in Vancouver, June 21st. The drummer was COMPLETELY out to lunch, he didn't know any of the songs, and was being cued by the other players all night how to play the songs. The guitar player replacing Pete was some weenie fro California with a bad mohawk, and an undeserved ego that could have filled 2 halls that size. The bass player was solid, although he played in the most unorthodox style I have ever seen, playing with a pick, and upstroking every note...?? The best player on the stage was the "utility" player, who played steel, keys, accordian and a bit of rhythm. He wasn't any good at any of them, but I give him credit for at least trying, and his harmonies were decent. Dwight seemed a bit off as well, NO WONDER with the garbage going on behind and around him - it would have thrown me off my game as well. All in all I felt totally ripped off for my admission cost, as I KNOW I could have jumped on stage at any time, and played the songs much better on any given instrument handed to me. (That's not saying much either, believe me) Poor Dwight, you once were so good, now so pathetic..... :(

  Cool, I found you on Facebook, I miss the Mojave Desert, been a fan for years, awesome music. Fast As You is one of my all time faves.

  Love your music Dwight, listen to your albums probably above all my other country favorites! I have tremendous respect for you after learning about your bio and hard times in Nashville early in your career. I'm also a huge fan of "South of Heaven, West of Hell".. Great movie! Buck Em'!   Dwight your an eloquent poet of dying aspects of Americana and a bruised heart. Your musical accompaniment envelopes your melancholy and sometimes whimsical thoughts. You have a great gift for saying what your listeners have felt or wished they had felt. I am a lifelong fan.
