Technical, yet easy to follow riffs, pulsating beats and soothing, anthem-like, vocals has Ember's music soaring throughout their local music scene. Having shared the spotlight with bands such as; A STATIC LULLABY, SCARLET, FROM FIRST TO LAST, MOMENTS IN GRACE, A THORN FOR EVERY HEART, THE GAMITS, AGAINST TOMORROWS SKY, TIME IN MALTA, BELOVED and many more, Embers style and crystal clear sound has proven to win the hearts of countless crowds, impressing numerous bands, not to mention music promoters. Dating back to 1997, three high school friends (Marcus Morgan, Josh Taylor, Shawn Ratzlaff) formed the foundation for this band. Burning through singers, bass players and band names like cigarettes, Ember longed to find musicians that shared the dreams and aspirations, as well as talent. But then one night at the Bluebird Theater (Denver), Marcus and newly aquired bass player Rob Bellamy mentioned to and old friend (Matthew Hergenreter) the bands endless search for a lead vocalist. Matthew simply replied "I can sing", and a rehersal was scheduled soon after. Just days later, at that practice, everyone realized they had found their most anticipated member, a lead singer. Strenuous rehersals, combined with a passion for music, allowed Matthew and the rest of the band to rapidly mold Ember intro a local powerhouse. Ember developed a unique style based on soothing vocals, technical and thick guitar work and strict, hard-hitting drums. Quickly thereafter, (in Oct "03"), Ember went to 8 houses down studio to record what they had accomplised. Three days and four songs later, ember produced a demo CD that proved the tight-knit band had undeniable potential. Non-stop promotion of the band will undoubtedly land Ember with a label that will maximize their future potential. With production of a full length album and plans for touring in 2005, Ember stands ready for what it takes to reach their goals. In the midst of pursuing national attention, Ember strives to acheive perfection of their sound. The mixture of many styles and wide array of dynamics makes Ember's musical progression a sound Denver hasn't heard. Staying true to their musical roots, and the ability to change with time will bring much deserved and long-awaited success to Ember.
