A journeyman guitarist and singer-songwriter hailing from Eugene, Oregon, Ehren Ebbage’s music falls somewhere in-between Bruce Springsteen and Lyle Lovett. His lyrics are sincere, heartfelt and articulate, and his sweet and solid guitar playing has made him a sought-after
band mate and session musician. (From 2004-2007, Ebbage was a member of fellow Eugenian Justin King’s band, providing complementary guitar and backup vocals on the group’s first two EPs and debut album.)
His debut EP, Bottlerocket, features six memorable tracks and is available through SnoCap. These songs cover a broad range of human emotion, from the angst of doomed love in “Bury that Feeling” to the declaration of independence in “I’m Not Sorry,” to the jubilation of the EP’s title track. And while the recording conveys the weight of his work effectively, his live
performances reveal additional charms: humor and an engaging stage presence.
Ebbage is currently at work on a full-length album and will be touring the western United States throughout 2007/08.
