With an eclectic mix of funk rock and reggae, Elementz creates a style that can't quite be assimilated into one genre. Their infulences include but arn't limited to Sublime, 311, Bob Marley, and Incubus. The band was once started in a small East-coast Florida town known as New Smyrna Beach but soon the Guitar player Robby Lapp regretfully left and moved to Orlando against his will. The band stayed together a while, yet Lead Singer Greg Reyman felt the rewards were not worth the effort of a long distance band. Shortly after playing the 1999 New Smyrna Beach High School Battle of the Bands Greg fell for a deviate high school sweet heart and that was the end of the band. In 2000 Greg moved to Meritt Island and eventually called Robby, they got together and jammed. Returning home Robby called Taymon Lorring-Smith ( Bass Player Extraordinare) and Chris Reeves (Drummer not paralyzed actor) explaining to them that he would like to try a reunion. The rhythm section while scepticle aggreed to one jam to see how things would go. The reunion appeared to be unbelievable and the Elementz were back again. A month or two later the fabulous 4 ventured into the studio to make a sampler cd intended to assist the spread of word about the newly reformed band. The rest is history in the making.
