    Elmore James: The king of the electric blues slide guitar of Mississippi. His sound is so electrifying that it is completely unexplainable, which is evident in "Dust My Broom" and "Dust My Blues". Rollin' and a Tumblin'.

    I love Elmore's playing and I prefer his slide to Muddy's(who is great too) but its Elmore's voice that drives me wild! Them hairs are stickin right up! So powerful yet so emotive. To my ears the best blues voice of them all...

    "the sky is crying" nuff said only one man plays the slide better muddy but elmore is the truth.

    agreed but his few recordings that do exist changed music through his use of distortion

    One of the great electric slide players of all time, but tragically few recordings exist as Elmore hated to record. His voice will raise the hair on the back of your neck, and you ain't heard Dust My Broom until you hear Elmore's version.
