Eloquent was formed in 2000 during a party where bassplayer Martin Hans Pedersen and guitarist/leadsinger Bo Christensen talked about forming a band because of boredom in a Rage Against The Machine jam band. They wanted to try something new and hooked up with drummer Jeppe Revsbech. They started out playing coversongs by a danish band called Kashmir. One day they were asked if they were interrested in entering a contest. There were just one problem: if you wanted to enter you would have to play your own songs. So they did. In two weeks Eloquent succeeded in writting five original and catchy songs. The judges in the the contest seemed to agree in that and Eloquent was in the finals placed among the five best. At that point Eloquent realized that their days as a coverband were history - and they discovered that in writing their own music was a talent. During the past year Eloquent has evolved their music into being more straight, catchy and they've even integrated electronic sequencing and vintage analoge synths in their music. At this point we've found our musical direction, we know what we want and we know how to do it. The inspiration is huge and in Eloquent that means productivity and originality.
