Espera formed in the summer of 2006 with brothers Nicolas and Jason Gonzales (ex-Ballast Method). The duo performed to unethused crowds for several months before adding a third member, Amy Gomez, on bass. After a brief, though successful, stint as a trio, Amy left the band and was replaced by Matt Anderson (formerly of Jupiter Mission). The three-piece continues to write new music and perform in their hometown.
