Eugene Friesen is an internationally known cellist, composer and teacher who has brought the cello into many different world music, jazz and folk settings. Eugene teaches cello and improvisation at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. His hundreds of recording credits include three Grammy awards for his work with the Paul Winter Consort. Eugene's compositions include works for full orchestra, chamber music, choir and music for Trio Globo (with Howard Levy and Glen Velez) and numerous pieces for cello.
