Quirky British songwriter Frank Hamilton had been writing and recording on his own back home in Cambridgeshire until, in January 2005, after moving to Guildford he decided upon drummer Josh Brown, bassist Mark Nagle, and guitarist Robert Capewell to accompany him. In June 2005 Frank and the band went into the studio to record “The End Of Common Sense - EP” which was self-released in September 2005, and is available on Frank’s official website, www.frankhamilton.co.uk
A finalist in the MBF Songwriting Awards 2005 (judged by Guy Chambers and Cathy Dennis), Frank and his band recently concluded a hectic winter gigging schedule by opening for Starsailor on EagleFM’s live session. They are currently recording a double single, which upon completion (expected April/May’06) will be released digitally. This, together with the extensive gig and festival appearances that follow means the future looks very interesting for ‘The Frank Hamilton Band’.
