Gabriel is a twenty-something singer-songwriter just looking for his way. Born in New York he started playing piano at the age of 5. He moved to Florida when he was young and picked up the guitar for the first time at age 18. "I didn't know that a profession in music was even a possibility. When I was young it was ok to have a piano or to have a guitar but to be a pianist or to be a guitarist was out of the question." It was in college that Gabriel was given the freedom to write his first songs. Singing was just a natural progression. Gabriel moved back to New York "as soon as physically possible" and started to play acoustic shows around the city. His music is understated and his voice is soft spoken. When he speaks he has the special quality of making you believe. When he sings his voice envelopes the room making you at once warm and satisfied. "I write about what challenges me on a day to day basis. I believe that it is these things that tie us all together and people want to know it, that others are going through the same thing. I don't want to shove anything down anyone's throat. I hope to build a loyal fan base that falls in love with my music not because someone told them to, but because they found out for themselves."
