GimmiJapans music is an interaction between the cool and structured expression of the computer, and the four musicians energy and presence. Through this the band is able, with their unique sound, to reach the listeners and take them through a world of compelling melodic music. The music is usually composed around ambient, melodic, noisy or rhythmic samples, from where the band composes the final tunes together. Beautifully the unique voice, with its almost naïve expression, seduces the listener into a world of lyrics which is everything but naïve. with inspiration in bands such as Lali Puna Valentine, Yo La Tengo, American Analog Set, Björk, Elbow, Lali Puna and Stina Nordenstam it’s part of the alternative music scene.
