Girlicious was created by Robin Antin, with the help of Geffen Records, on the second season of Pussycat Dolls Present:. She and choreographer Mikey Minden hand-picked 12 talented young women to be in the running to become the three-girl group hailed "Girlicious." Throughout the drama and competition, the girls received help from their mentors, the Pussycat Dolls. At the end, it came down to 5 finalists, Tiffanie, Charlye, Chrystina, Nichole, and Natalie. As a result of 10 weeks of competition, the judges decided last minute to turn Girlicious into a quartet. Girlicious consists of finalists: Nichole Cordova, Tiffanie Anderson, Natalie Mejia, and Chrystina Sayers. Soon after filming had wrapped up they headed into the studio to record their debut album, with Ron Fair, Robin Antin, and a variety of other songwriters and producers. The second season was filmed during the summer of 2007, and the winners had to keep their victory a secret for about 9 months, up until the finale, April 23rd, 2008.
On April 23, 2008, following the season finale of Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, the group's debut single, "Like Me", was available for download on iTunes.[2] A 2 minute version of their music video, for their debut single, 'Like Me', premiered promptly after the girls were chosen. The video features Girlicious in a boxing arena singing and dancing with producer of the single, Jazze Pha.
